Yes, even though I'm a stay at home mom, I have a disdain for Mondays like the rest of the working world! It's the day when my husband goes back to work for the week, lunch packing is back on, I have to pay attention to the clock, bus stop management duties resume, and so on. So yep, Mondays are hard for me.
Now this Monday is a bit different! Rogan (my hubs) returns from a 9 day trip and I feel like shouting from the rooftops! I'm sure he's looking forward to his children running to greet him at the airport...little does he know I plan to chuck them at him, flying in the air, and he can catch them with his open arms, because I'm DONE rocking the solo parent duties. *Mad props to any form of single parent out there, you are brave beyond measure and if your children are breathing each day, well fed, and possibly bathed, you are killin' it! Pat yourself on the back. So this evening Rogan returns and all will be right in my house again.
Now here I am, doing a little blogging, trying to get the creative juices flowing this morning since book duties are calling! There's a lot of work to be done and overall I'm excited to get into the weeds now of making my books. It's the homestretch...a good month long home stretch, but nonetheless we are in the final illustrating and editing phase, so it's all starting to come to life now! I cannot wait to reveal covers very soon!! I chatted with one of my illustrators last night and I am so confident in what is going to be produced, it's just awesome! I'm constantly amazed at the talent and minds out there, and it's such a refreshing interaction when there are at times so much gloom & doom in this world. People amaze me, and when it's positive amazement I feel that much better about our world.
So aside from either a cold or allergies (jury is still out), I'm pushing on this morning and getting excited for all that's to come (& so should you!).
I'm also really worried about Barb...(Stranger Things people, Stranger Things) :P
